What these categories mean
- ANPR
- Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR): camera systems that automatically capture, read, and log vehicle number plates with location and time, producing a searchable record of vehicle movements.

The record
Body-worn & dashcam
De gemeente Venlo schafte na een succesvolle pilot in 2025 definitief bodycams aan voor boa's (buitengewoon opsporingsambtenaren). De bodycam staat continu stand-by, neemt bij activering ook de voorafgaande 30 seconden op, en opnames worden versleuteld opgeslagen en na 28 dagen automatisch vernietigd, tenzij ze als bewijs in een strafzaak worden gebruikt.
